INSTALLATION OF AUDIO OUTPUT IN THE STANDARD QUANTUM GX1280X and GX236OS VHF RADIOS
These two radio models have the same internal circuit board.
This radio requires the mod kit board version with its own squelch gate.

Transmit resistor 1 megohm, lead length 1.5" 30 ga white wire.
Receive resistor 470 kohm, lead length 3.0" 30 ga blue wire.
Squelch gate resistor 33 kohm, lead length 1.5" 30 ga yellow wire.
Board power lead length 1.0" 30 ga red wire.

The Racorder mod kit is supplied with a pigtail which has a female inline RCA style connector on the end - this is passed through a .109" (7/64) hole drilled through the rear of the radio, and then soldered to the mod kit board.
